"My Music - My Choice"

Your spirit is the results of your thoughts. Day by day what you do, think, say and listen to is who you become.  Music is powerful and can be a very effective tool.  Music can be used as a prayer, mantra, motivator or theme.  Historically our community has used music as a universal medium to evoke a message of faith, pride, hope and love.

Recognizing the montage of mixed and negative messages prevalent in urban music, we made it our mission to showcase "life affirming" urban music. Positive Rhythms is not preoccupied with discussions of censorship, but choice. We offer an alternative entertainment product choice, so audiences can choose to enjoy conscious urban contemporary music. Our goal being to help each person flourish as an individual which in turn will positively affect the future of us all. To that end the play list we provide endorses the specific song we identified.

Although we provide the album information, in an effort to acknowledge that a specific artist and label produced a "positive rhythm" and are encouraged to please do it again. We further encourage you to support their efforts on the song produced. However, this does not mean that we can endorse every song on the album. Please Note: Some of the other song on the albums may have explicit or offensive lyrics and we advise you to please be mindful of that when making purchases for children especially.
